I had a total breakdown of spirit today on a backcountry ski tour. My skin glue decided to totally fail and completely stick to the base of my skis. I tried to point the skis straight downhill but I barely moved. I was so bummed out. It was like the end of the world for me. Can you believe that? Just because my ski day failed, I truly felt like life in general was failing. What a loser I am. This loser feeling only increased when I got home and one of my board women, Kelly Chadwick, submitted this article: Enjoy the Journey. A double hip replacement? Yeah…I can only hope that I would have the same courage and passion if faced with the same fate as Kelly. You go girl!
