Ok, this is a little biased. I’ve been a devoted Smartwool Snowboard sock lover for the last 5 years. I’m always in search for the perfect warm, dry, non-itchy and knee high wool sock that doesn’t require a liner. I was given a pair of the Bridgedale Snowboard socks to test recently… LOVE THEM! Unlike their competitors, they don’t lose their shape after one wearing. Since I’m on the go and don’t have time for laundry I also expect at least 3 days without smelling and shape loss. I’ve challenged these socks with 5 days so far! They still stay up at the knee, aren’t crunchy with past sweatings, and they make it from my snowboard boots back into my “city” shoes dry and warm. They have padding where you need it and are thinner where you don’t. There is no bunching up where the forefoot meets the leg or anywhere else for that matter which leads to a slim fit even if you have shapely calves. The fiber content consists of 33% Merino wool and the rest is synthetic. A comfortable, stylish, warm, and versatile sock that comes highly recommended… Cheers to Bridgedale for getting the women’s specific thing dialed in!
