Icebreaker Women's Oasis Crew (Skin 200)

This piece is the lightweight champion of the world. It is so soft you won’t even realize you’re wearing it. Odor ceases to takeover for days which makes it really nice for travel, active wear, snow sports and everyday use.

This top went from box to body and stayed a staple for a good 2 weeks. As a crew top for work, dinner out, a layer for skiing the resort, and sweaty jobs like uphill climbing, I never once washed it or put it near the hamper. This happens in the winter; a cozy item turns into your SKIN. After 2+ weeks of wear, assessment was necessary. Though maintaining it’s comfy quality, the oasis crew looked a little out of shape. It stretched out and a sniff test proved some stench had lingered in the merino wool. Yes, now it was time for a wash. The instructions read not to put in dryer and to wash in cold. After a good wash and a hang dry, the Oasis was in good shape again. Round 2…another 2 weeks go by.

The softness and warmth of the famous Icebreaker merino wool has kept this piece on the top of my winter warm stack of clothes, on my body, or in my ski pack. It is the perfect thickness to be worn alone or layered, while staying warm and dry. If sweat becomes a problem, this top dries quickly with body heat as your cooling process begins at the top of any climb. And the smell…give it about 3 weeks of hard labor and it will smell; however, this can be easily washed out.
