Another versatile pant for all activities! What a winner! We took the VW Golf on our road trip so Chris could run the bio-diesel as we drove to Oregon, eventually to Seattle and return. So, I had to limit the amount of stuff I could take along. But as it turned out, all I needed was the Contourwear Women’s Zip-Off Pant to climb, skate ski, mountain bike (with bike shorts as my under layer), shop, and road trip.
This pant fit me perfectly, though I am NOT a size 2 in real life. Nothing in the fit could have been better for me. (I am 5’1”, 105 lbs and wear a petite 4 in dress clothes.) The pant sits a little below the waist, has a flattering top panel, and a side zipper with inside button to secure waistline. They are very comfortable and flattering. I never noticed the #5 zippers at the thigh. They also have a slight flare at the bottom of the pant leg – they are very fashionable and trendy. It is well-designed. This pant is made from the incomparable 4-way stretch Schoeller Dynamic fabric from which everyone should have at least one article of outdoor clothing.
These pants zip off above the knee featuring a short short (inseam 4-1/2”). The legs zip up the sides from the ankle to the knees so that you can remove the bottom panel without having to take off your shoes. They wash easily, line dry and off you go again – the perfect travel pant. Though it wasn’t warm enough to wear shorts on my trip, I unzipped them and gave them a thorough look at in the mirror. I would “never” wear these pants as shorts. They just are TOO short – technically, they’d ride up in a climbing harness, and I have also decided that at this point in life, I’m not wearing short shorts anymore. I’ve read that Contourwear offers a pant with a longer short. I think I’d prefer this model. Anyway – a highly recommended outdoor pant!
