
United Bicycle Institute, the nation’s largest bicycle mechanics and frame building school, offers this class designed for cycling enthusiasts who seek to become more self-sufficient in maintaining their bicycles. Topics covered include brake, derailleur, hub, crankset and headset maintenance and overhaul, brake and derailleur set-up and tuning,wheel truing, and bike fit, with special emphasis on the needs of women cyclists. All tools and materials are included with tuition. Hours: 8 am to 5 pm. Class meets in our state-of-the-art, solar-powered facility in Ashland, Oregon.
